Bourrache

Borrache is a perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the Boraginaaceae family, native to Asia and Africa.

It is characterized by its velvety leaves and its colourful blue or pink flowers, which bloom from May to September. It is often used in organic farming because of its insect repellent properties and soil cover qualities. In fact, burrache attracts pollinating insects such as bees and butterflies, and has a positive effect on surrounding crops by regulating pest populations and improving soil quality. Bulrache is also a popular ornamental plant because of its colourful flowering and velvety foliage. It can be planted in solids or edges to add a touch of color to a garden.
