Stitching ore

Piping nettle, also known as common nettle or large nettle, is a dioecious perennial plant in the urticaceae family. About 150 cm tall, this plant is known for its stem entirely covered with hives. It has dark green, oblong leaves bordered with strong triangular teeth. The flowers of the prickly nettle are small and appear in greenish clusters. Its fruits are achenes. This plant native to Eurasia is very common in France. It is found in the meadows, along the wasteland, and in the vicinity of the dwellings. Long considered a weed, the stingy nettle finds its place today in our kitchens. Its fresh leaves are carved to be eaten in salad, or to incorporate our soup and velvet recipes.
