Palide

Belonging to the Rhamnacées family, paliure is a shrub that is found mainly in arid and limestone-rich areas. It can measure up to 3 meters, and is easily recognized by its glabrous branches, folded or curved in zigzag, with several thorns. Placed 2 by 2 near its leaves, these are characteristic. One is always straight and long while the other is always curved and short. The leaves of Palide are deciduous, alternate and have 3 petiolated veins. Yellow flowers appear in clusters between June and September. These flowers usually produce indehiscent dry fruits in October.
