Séné

Sene is a bushy shrub native to tropical Africa that grows wild in the desert regions of the Arabian Peninsula. On average between 1 and 2 metres, the sene has long spreading branches and composite leaves grouped in pairs. It gives small yellow flowers and brown green fruits in the shape of elongated and flattened pods. The fruit of the sene is pulpy and contains many seeds.
