Kaolin, feldspath and quartz which are normally used for porcelain clay are mixed with a minimum of 35% bone ash. This creates the strongest type of porcelain that exists and creates the specific ivory color. Due to its composition, bone porcelain can be cooked at a temperature of about 1250 °C.
