Description
There are very few smells that remind us of the south as well as the lavender. Indeed, this plant grows quite significantly in the southern and Mediterranean regions. Lavender is a small shrub in general, with small flowers arranged in ears. These are particularly pleasant to breathe, provided with a very strong fragrance. In fact, it is used quite significantly in the world of perfumery, thanks to this rather strong and characteristic smell of this plant species. It's usually found on limestone and dry soils.
Lavender is a plant highly appreciated by bees, which harvest nectar. It is also very popular with man, and this since the time of the romans, who already used lavender to perfume baths for example. However, it began to be cultivated in the 19th century. The lavender used massively for essential oil is the Compinal Lavender, which produces the best quality oil. She particularly appreciates the hillsides of the Haute-Provence, where it flourishes massively. It is also found in other areas of course.
Since ancient times, therefore, lavender has been widely used, as well for its aromatherapic qualities. Thus, the essential oil of lavender is one of the most important to possess, thanks to its many qualities.
