Description
Wood pine is a variety of trees in the Pinaceae. It is found mainly in Eastern Siberia, and further south, all over northern and central Europe. It is also called the North Pine, to designate its wood. It is a tree that lives for a long time, and can sometimes reach 700 years for some very resistant subjects. What makes it different is its bark, which bears a red ocre colour especially in the upper part of the trunk, because over time it tends to change color.
Sylver pine is used very frequently in its essential oil version for all the qualities it has. This plant species contains, among other things, tannin, resin, limonene, boundyl acetate, terpenes, alphapinene, which are the main components of the wood pine, and tend to give it some of the virtues that it gives us. There are about 50 different varieties of pine trees, all over its reference habitat, designated a little higher.
The essential oil of wood pine is usually used in parts such as resin, but also buds.
