Menyanthe
Menyanth is a vigorous semi-aquatic perennial herbaceous plant that is very common in shallow pools and swamps. Although it is nicknamed water clover, the plant does not belong to the family of clover, Fabaceae. Rather, it is part of the family Menyanthaceae and owes its nickname to the particular shape of its leaves. Green glossy and trifoliated, the leaves of the Menyanthaceae that gently emerge from the water immediately remind clover. Between the months of April and June, the menyantha reveals beautiful clusters of starry, white flowers with pink reverses.
