Today there are many varieties of elder, but in general these shrubs are recognized by their fragrant white or pink flowers. From July onwards, they leave room for small bouquets of red, blue or black berries depending on the species of elder. The elder, measuring an average of 2 metres, has a small branched stem with deciduous leaves composed of about 7 leaflets.
