Black mustard

Sneve or black mustard is a common annual plant found throughout the Mediterranean area. Like cabbages and radishes, it is part of the Brassicaceae family. Raising up to 120 cm, this branched stem plant can expand up to 60 cm. It has large green leaves and usually blooms between June and August. Yellow and pleasantly fragrant, the flowers are self-fertile. They are pollinated directly by insects. Sneedle supports almost all soil types, provided the plant is watered regularly. Excellent condiments, black mustard seeds are used to prepare different sauces, including Indian curry.
