Mélisse

Melissa is an aromatic plant forming a bush up to 80 cm high. It has a very developed root and characteristic oval leaves very fragrant. Dark green on the top, these leaves have a lighter colour on their lower parts. Melissa usually blooms between June and September. Hermaphrodites and mellifers, its flowers come together in small white or pink bouquets with axil of leaves. Easy to recognize, the stems of the plant are square in shape. Melissa likes fresh, light, but fertile soils. She also appreciates the places well exposed to the sun while being sheltered. This plant is particularly sensitive to cold weather, especially wet soil, as well as drought.
