Peppermint
Peppermint originated from the crossing of two mint species: Mentha aquatica and Mentha spicata. Belonging to the Lamiaceae family, it is distinguished by its dark green foliage above and pale green, pulling towards the turquoise below. The plant is about 50 cm tall and is recognized by its duvetous appearance, slightly purple. In France, peppermint has its place in sweet cuisine. Its perfume and its relatively powerful taste marry perfectly with chocolate, vanilla and most summer fruits. You can also put them in your various jams and jellies with citrus fruits and red fruits. In North African cuisine, peppermint is one of the main ingredients of many dishes, including taboulé and chorba.
