Olivier
The olive tree is a tree of the Oleaceae family. It is easily recognized by the beauty of its black grey trunk, usually striated and knotty. Crevices appear on the trunk as the tree ages. The olive tree is about 20 metres high and enjoys exceptional longevity, up to 300 years. From April to June, an outbreak of clusters of white flowers sublimates the leaves with silvery reflections of this tree. Olives are produced only after 7 years. First soft green, the fruit becomes purple and then black as it matures. The olive tree tolerates rocky soils, drought and even bears temperatures below 12 °C.
