Parsley

Parsley or Petroselinum crispum or sativum is a biennial aromatic plant with a very characteristic smell. Belonging to the apiaceae family, it is native to Europe and the western Mediterranean basin, but is now cultivated around the world. It is widely used in the kitchen for its green leaves, divided, toothed and sometimes curled as garnish or seasoning. In Central Europe, its root also comes into the preparation of certain dishes. Measuring between 25 and 80 cm, this umbeliferous plant has striated stems that cover with umbels of cream-coloured flowers in summer. These flowers then give aromatic seeds.
