Black pepper
Black pepper is the fruit of pepper or Piper Nigrum. Native to India, this perennial liana can reach about ten meters long and gives small berries that become red when ripe. These small berries are picked when they are close to maturity and then dried in the sun for several days. They then turned black with oxidation. Black pepper stands out from white pepper for its spicy taste. Unlike white pepper, it keeps its pericarp, that is, the outer part of its pulp.
